In 1975 the first Southwest Catholic Charismatic Conference was held. Shortly afterwards, in 1976, it was agreed that New Mexico was ready for an office to serve the Charismatic Renewal.
With the blessings of Archbishop Robert Sanchez, small one room office in of the Diocesan Center was loaned to us. A year later the prayer groups raised the money needed to purchase a Mennonite Church that was up for sale.
The Center began operations on January 3, 1978.
The Center is governed by a Board of Directors, and is administered by a staff under the leadership of the Director .
The Charismatic Center is a place where people may come to know the Lord more intimately, receive healing, and be equipped for service.
It is an oasis in the desert.
